CO2 O2 gas detection
for air breathability

Do you have a risk of gas leaks in your environment?

VIGAZ has designed various O2 and CO2 detectors that are portable or fixed, with alarms to warn of any potential danger.

If you store nitrogen, argon or CO2 cylinders, or if your equipment uses liquid nitrogen or carbon dioxide, our detectors will let you monitor the ambient air in your room and alert you to a gas leak.

Our gas detectors and analysers

Who are we?

VISCIANO was founded in 1967 and moved into gas analyser manufacturing in 2000. For over 25 years, the company has developed and sold its own analysers to monitor modified atmospheres in food packaging or gases in the medical field.

All our devices are manufactured or repaired in our factory in France. Our electronic circuits are also designed in France and our suppliers are located across Europe. Our parts are generally in stock, which allows us to manufacture within 1 or 2 weeks and repair in just a few days.

We now have over 700 customers, mainly including LDC, NESTLE, ARRIVE, CERELIA, GALLIANCE, BERNARD ROYAL DAUPHINE, CAPITAINE HOUAT, EUROPEAN SEAFOOD, LES CRUDETTES etc. We also have distributors across Western France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, the United Kingdom, Belgium and the Netherlands. Our parcels are delivered by DHL throughout Europe within 24 or 48 h.

Mindful of the climate challenge, VISCIANO invested in 2022 in solar panels installed above its workshop to reduce its environmental impact.

Need help?

Can small portable devices be used in a production environment?

This is not recommended, as these analysers are more fragile than devices designed for production environments. Their sensors will be more sensitive to cold and ambient humidity, their miniature pumps will be less resistant to large numbers of measurements, and their housings will be less robust against impacts.

Should the analyser be returned to open air between two measurements?

This is not necessary. On the contrary, a sensor's response time depends on the gap between the start and end of measurement. So the more the device stays in your measurement conditions, the shorter its response time to take a measurement will be.

My O2/CO2 reading does not change during a measurement?

Generally, this comes from the filter and needle being clogged, which prevents the pump from drawing in. As a result, the display stays on open air. Change the filter and needle, then check that the pump is drawing correctly.

Should adhesive foam pads always be used to take a measurement?

Yes. The bonded septum ensures a good seal. Without it, the needle inserted into your packaging creates a slightly larger hole. Your measurements may be distorted by drawing in a little air with each measurement.

Where should we send our analyser for after-sales service?

To our single address; VISCIANO – Technoparc – 490 rue Appert – 01630 Saint Genis Pouilly - FRANCE
